Boast in Show is the hilariously uplifting comedy showdown where comedians battle with compliments instead of insults. Created by host and comedian Carl Carzana, and produced by comedian and producer Dawn Williams, this one-of-a-kind show has taken the comedy scene by storm, earning the Chortle Award for Best Live Comedy Format 2025 and 2026!

Unlike traditional roast battles, Boast in Show flips the script. Challengers face off using elaborate compliments, grand gestures, and creative “boasts” to celebrate their opponent. From heartfelt poems and original songs to extravagant gifts – even a national day officially registered in a contestant’s name; Comedians go to extreme lengths to outshine each other with kindness and win the hearts (and high scores) of the panel of expert judges. The only rule? Anything goes – apart from hurting each other’s feelings!

Boast in Show is back on 17th June at the Brighton Komedia for its Mild Mild West special. Watch as the circuit’s best and brightest knock ten shades of self esteem in one another and battle it out to be crowned the Boast in Show.
