Brighton Whisky Weekend

27 June @ 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm
£40

Sun, Sea & Whisky

Welcome to Brighton Whisky Weekend – a new kind of whisky experience for the UK. Not just a festival, we’ll be popping up across Brighton over 3 whisky-filled days across a bucket-full of events, experiences and tastings. Visit our website for full event listings, discounts and offers.

Join us for the main event of the weekend – a global gathering of whisky wonders from brands big, small, stylish, quirky and cool (this is Brighton after all !). Explore over 30 exhibitors on display (some representing multiple brands) meaning more whisky in one room than pebbles on Brighton beach* (*this may be hyperbole, we’ll let you judge). Needless to say, you’ll be able to sip your way around fascinating brands and hear directly from passionate producers as you savour their creations in your very own branded whisky glass.

Tickets Include:

  • Branded festival whisky glass (yours to keep)
  • ALL drams on offer on the day – no “under the counter” secrets, dream-drams or tokens needed here, what you see is what you get
  • Access to the on-site whisky shop
  • Access to multiple food and drink vendors
  • Access to the bar and break-out area

We’ll be running two sessions this year:

Session One: 12-3pm

Session Two: 4-7pm

This is so you can enjoy the festival experience and take part in the many other events taking place across the weekend. You’re welcome to purchase tickets to both sessions, just be advised we will have the right to refuse entry to anyone considered drunk on entry, so if you do this – take it easy during session one and grab some food and a coffee during the break so you get back in. It’s also a great break for the brands so they can share their drams and their chat with renewed vigour in session two.

First Whisky Festival? What to expect:

  • A lot of fun for starters
  • Friendly brand ambassadors, distillers and founders eager to tell you their origin story, production approach and how they best enjoy their whisky
  • A range of drams of all strengths, styles and flavours (a great way to find your perfect whisky through a process of elimination)
  • Loads of water to keep you hydrated (bring a refillable bottle)
  • Spittoons – these are here for you to pour away any dram you don’t want to finish – there’s no judgement and you won’t offend anyone pouring away liquid to keep yourself sober and ready for your next dram
  • Our friendly volunteers will also be on hand to answer questions or provide advice (And of course we’ll have security and first aid too, should they be required to assist)

Check back here or our social channels for announcements on brands, sponsors, city-wide events and more!

Over 18’s only (obviously) and Challenge 25 in place, so if you are lucky enough to be asked for ID, consider it a compliment! No children (even babes in arms) and no pets (we’d say dogs, but we saw a bloke with a parrot on the promenade last week so better to be safe).

We’re a welcoming, friendly and inclusive event and as such have a zero tolerance policy on any physical or verbal abuse, derogatory or inappropriate language. The safety and enjoyment of you, our staff and exhibitors is our utmost priority. If you feel at all uncomfortable please find one of our team and we’ll help you out and deal with each situation sensitively and promptly (bringing in security to support where needed). Whisky is a wonderful thing, but people are even better, so be kind and considerate to those around you and help everyone enjoy the experience together.

Please also take care of yourself and those you attend with, you’re the best judge of your own and your friend’s limits so help us to help you have a great day by drinking lots of water (& encouraging others to do so), eat well, stop for a break and a chat every now and then and if someone is slurring their words or getting a bit wobbly – take them aside for a break and away from the temptation of more drams! Thank you for your cooperation.
