No Wristband For The Wicked

13 May @ 7:30 pm - 11:00 pm
Free

Viberiders presents a free night of live music at Waterbear Music Bar.

No wristbands. No gatekeeping. Just three brilliant acts, one intimate venue, and free entry. This is No Wristband For The Wicked — a night celebrating the best of Brighton’s underground music scene, with a special guest making their Brighton debut.

PORCHLIGHT (Headliner)
Brighton’s finest post-punk five-piece. Rough Trade called them “one of the most beguiling acts to watch this side of the Atlantic” — and they weren’t wrong. Restless, agitated, and impossible to pin down, Porchlight have built a fierce reputation as one of the most exciting live bands on the south coast. Their sound sits somewhere between post-punk and alternative rock, driven by five musicians who genuinely look like they might combust at any moment. Latest single “Hotchkiss Gun” is out now.

SCHOOL DISCO (Support)
Brighton four-piece fresh off their fourth album SD IV, released February 2026 on Krautpop! Records. Already earning serious attention — BBC Radio 6 Music’s New Music Fix, Radio X’s X-Posure, and praised by Clash Magazine as “music of real weight and originality.” Drawing on Krautrock, Black Sabbath, and progressive rock, their live shows are the stuff of legend. If you haven’t caught them yet, this is your moment.

SWIVEL (Opener)
Manchester newcomers making their Brighton debut. Already active on the Manchester circuit through the Akoustik Anarkhy collective. Brand new band, already turning heads — watch this space.

Wednesday 13th May 2026. Doors 7:30pm. Free entry — no ticket needed, just show up.
