Are you passionate about making science more accessible, affordable, and globally impactful? Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from Dr Andre Maia Chagas, a leading advocate for open science and open-source hardware.

With a background in Neurosciences, this talk will explore the development of low-cost, open-access scientific tools and how they are empowering researchers worldwide. From leading workshops and outreach events to driving global accessibility in science, the work being shared has had a profound impact on education and research.

As the founder of Open Neuroscience and an active volunteer with Trend in Africa, the focus has been on expanding access to cutting-edge research tools and fostering collaboration in the scientific community.

Currently based at the University of Sussex’s Department of Neurosciences, efforts continue in designing innovative lab equipment to support research. Discover more about these projects at Open Sussex Neuroscience.
