Painted driftwood house and village workshop

April 02 @ 10:00 £20.00
Come and have fun turning pieces of driftwood into cute little painted houses or villages.

Our friendly instructor will guide you in choosing, preparing and painting your chosen pieces of driftwood.

Various pieces of driftwood will be available, of different sizes and lengths. You will be able to choose 2 or 3 pieces for decoration. (If you have found any nice pieces of driftwood you think would be suitable for use – then bring them along.)

All materials needed to prepare and upcycle the driftwood will be provided and you get to go home with your very own art pieces.

Some notes to help you get the most of the workshop:

  • Free tea, coffee and biscuits are provided.
  • Beginner friendly and happy to have experienced crafters join us.
  • Wear old clothes or bring an apron since paints will be used.
  • Bring a packed lunch so that we can learn about eachother’s projects, share ideas and give advice, during the lunchtime break.
  • The Maker Space is a continuing renovation project, so please excuse are appearance whilst we continue our remodelling.
  • The toilet in the workshop is down a full flight of stairs.
  • On street parking in Zones C and H
  • Close to several bus stops (check out the Brighton and Hove bus App)

The Brighton Community Workshop Project (BCWP) is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company CIC based in the heart of Kemptown. We provide a community workshop and tool library, run by volunteers, for our community members. The Maker Space is our place to make, learn, share and repair.

Our workshops and classes are part of our Skills Forge where people can learn and share new techniques and skills, build knowledge and inspire them to do it for themselves – reuse, repurpose, make do and mend, repair or upcycle, all whilst reducing waste and saving money.
