Stomping Ground Comedy with Michael Akadiri!

In collaboration with Municipal Comedy, LIVE at The Grounds brings you Stomping Ground Comedy. Located right in the heart of Hove, we’ll be tickling your funny bone with an incredible lineup every month. We’re mixing it up by bringing both fresh, new local acts and established, national comedians to our bill.

Alongside craft beer on tap from Hand Brewery, we’ll be serving Pizzaface Pizzas before 8PM and in the interval.

Doors 7:00pm | Show 8:00pm

Please note, no entry will be permitted after 8PM. No food and drink from outside the venue may be brought in.

Michael Akadiri is an multi award-winning stand up comedian and junior doctor who has been seen on the ITV2s Stand Up Sketch Show, BBCs New Comedy Award & has recently starred in the latest series of Comedy Central LIVE.
His sold out debut Edinburgh Fringe ‘consistently funny, occasionally dark’ (Scotsman) show, No Scrubs was nominated for NextUp’s inaugural Biggest Award in Comedy and toured the UK in early 2023.

Christian Jegard
Here’s some things about me…
I’m a comedian, actor and writer who began doing stand-up and making sketches in 2019.
I live in Brighton.
I have ASD.
I write for the Beano.
I was a largely unemployed, mildly talented musician for a while. I did radio jingles.
My sketch ‘Stay Inside’ was nominated for ‘Best Music Video’ at the Austin Comedy Film
Festival and was also livestreamed from The Comedy Store in Los Angeles as a finalist in the ‘Sketched Out’ competition.
In 2021 I was commissioned to make a four-part comedy web series for Arthouse Jersey. I like to dress fancy.

Fiona Ridgewell
Fiona is an upbeat conversational comedian. In February 2020 her show “Contender” was nominated for best debut show at Leicester Comedy Festival, in the same year she she was a Funny Women Finalist. “Fiona has a direct cheeky sense of humour” Steve Bennett Chortle“Fiona Ridgewell has funny bones and an easy warmth on stage.” Julia Chamberlain

Martha Casey
Martha Casey is a former child and current comedian. Her zodiac sign is Dorothy with Blanche rising. She lives in Brighton with two cats and no husbands.
