TURIN BRAKES Songs & Stories

25 November @ 7:00 pm - 10:10 pm
£30.50

After an impressive 26 years together, ten studio albums, seven Top 40 singles, six Top 40 albums and over a million records sold worldwide, Turin Brakes return to TOM for a truly unique and intimate performance.

This special one-night-only event will see the band perform an acoustic set spanning their celebrated back catalogue, alongside an exclusive, candid conversation with the audience. Expect a relaxed, bar-style atmosphere as they share stories, insights and behind-the-scenes moments from across their career. There will also be a live audience Q&A, offering the chance to ask your own questions.

Formed by childhood friends Olly Knights and Gale Paridjanian, Turin Brakes today also feature long-time collaborators Rob Allum and Eddie Myer.

The band released their Mercury Music Prize-nominated debut The Optimist in 2001, followed by their most commercially successful album Ether Song in 2003. Produced by Tony Hoffer (Beck, Supergrass, The Kooks), it reached the Top 5 in the UK Albums Chart and featured the hit single Pain Killer (Summer Rain).

Initially associated with the early 2000s “New Acoustic Movement”, Turin Brakes have continually evolved beyond their folk-rock roots while retaining the essence of what made them so distinctive – building a loyal and ever-growing fanbase along the way.

This is a rare chance to get up close with one of the UK’s most enduring indie bands and hear the stories behind the songs.
